Work Cover and TAC Claims
We never know when accidents happen, but we can always prepare for the worst by managing the cost coverage of hospital treatment. Our motto applies to our work cover and TAC claims facility.
Transport Accident Commission (TAC) regulations
To lodge a claim with TAC at Wells Road Medical Centre, please refer to the step-by-step below:
- Reach an excess of $623.00.
- Consultations will be billed to Medicare with a “TAC RELATED” note until the excess is met.
- Keep copies for submission to TAC.
- After reaching the excess, we’ll directly send accounts to TAC.
Work Cover
For work cover claims at Wells Road Medical Centre, please refer to these steps:
- Obtain a claim form from our reception, fill it out, and have your employer sign it to acknowledge the claim.
- Initially, you’ll cover consultation fees until your employer grants authority.
- Once authorised, seek reimbursement from your employer for any fees paid.
- With authority confirmed, we’ll bill your employer directly.
If our staff can verify authority with your employer during business hours, billing will be handled immediately.
Effective communication among the employee, employer, and clinic is vital for a successful return to work for the injured worker.
PRE & POST EMPLOYMENT MEDICALS
To schedule a pre-employment medical, please call Wells Road Medical Clinic at (03) 9771 7111. Please bring all required documents to your appointment. Keep in mind that pre-employment medicals do have a fee.
