Wells Road Medical Centre is now a fully bulk billing clinic.
This means that if you hold a valid Medicare card, your eligible GP consultation will be billed directly to Medicare and you will have no out-of-pocket cost for that visit.
We’ve made this decision so that cost is never a barrier to accessing quality healthcare. Our goal is to keep care affordable and accessible for our local community while continuing to provide a high standard of medical services.
Bulk billing is when your doctor bills Medicare directly for your consultation or service, and accepts the Medicare benefit as full payment.
For you, this means:
No gap fee for eligible GP consultations
No payment required on the day for Medicare-eligible visits
Simply bring your current Medicare card and a valid form of ID to your appointment
If you’re unsure whether your appointment type is eligible for bulk billing, please speak with our reception team when booking.
Eligible telephone and telehealth consultations are also bulk billed for patients who meet Medicare criteria (for example, having an existing clinical relationship with the practice).
When you book a phone or telehealth appointment, our reception team will let you know if your appointment can be bulk billed under Medicare.
If you have any questions or would like to request more information, please contact us.
At Wells Road Medical, we believe in the power of a compassionate and dedicated team to make a real difference in our patients’ lives. Doctors, nurses, and administrative staff work together to provide a welcoming and supportive environment.
